安装应用 YH1.5W metal-oxide arrester for power distribution and substations (hereinafter referred to as "arrester") is suitable for atmospheric overvoltage protection of transmission and distribution equipment in AC power systems, as well as for limiting switching overvoltages generated by vacuum circuit breakers during switching operations of capacitor banks, electric furnace transformers and motors.

Installation: Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use (max outdoor wind speed: 35m/s)
Seismic zone: Areas with seismic intensity ≤VII
Electrical requirements: Continuous power-frequency voltage ≤ arrester's MCOV (Maximum Continuous Operating Voltage)
Environmental restrictions:
No heavy pollution present
No corrosive gases that may damage metal/insulating components
Mechanical requirements: Locations free from excessive vibration/mechanical shock

Installation Adjustment
If slight shaking and internal rattling are detected during installation:
• Open the bottom cover in a clean environment
• Rotate the housing until rattling ceases
• Securely reassemble to original specifications
Annual Preventive Testing (To be performed during thunderstorm season):
1) Leakage Current Test
• At maximum continuous operating voltage:<650μA
• OR at 0.75×U1mA DC voltage:<50μA
2) Insulation Resistance Test
• Using 2500V megger: Measured values must comply with table requirements
3) Sealing Test
• Fully submerge arrester in 60°C water
• Pass criteria: No continuous bubbles within 5 minutes
(Occasional isolated bubbles are acceptable)
• If continuous bubbles emerge: Replace gasket and retest
