Installation & Application（安装应用） The NKP-TEL-3J-K2 switch signal lightning arrester provides protection for 24V switch signals and pulse signals, featuring a standard terminal block interface with dual-channel 4-wire protection capability and DIN rail mounting design for cabinet installation. This arrester should be installed at the serial ports of all communication equipment, with conventional wiring for input/output terminals and secure connection of the grounding terminal to the earth (PE) conductor - note the lightning protection side (incoming line) must be correctly connected to the protected side (outgoing line) without reverse polarity.
Installation Precautions
The lightning arrester is connected in series between the protected equipment and the signal line.
The input (IN) of the arrester should be connected to the signal line, while the output (OUT) should be connected to the protected equipment and installed as close to it as possible. Reverse connection is not allowed.
Securely connect the arrester’s grounding wire to the lightning protection system’s grounding busbar. The grounding wire should be as short as possible, with a maximum length not exceeding 1 meter.
This product requires no special maintenance. However, regular inspections should be conducted, especially before and during the thunderstorm season.
