Installation & Application（安装应用） The NKP-TEL-4C-2A1 Compact Video/Power Dual Surge Protector integrates both video signal protection and AC/DC power surge protection into a single compact unit, representing a new generation of miniaturized multifunctional combined lightning protection products for camera devices, surveillance systems and video equipment. Utilizing advanced surge protection components to form multi-stage protective circuits, this specialized lightning protection device is suitable for various equipment configurations and interface types.
Precautions for Surge Protector Installation
1、The surge protector shall be connected in series between the protected equipment and the signal channel.
2、The input terminal (IN) of the surge protector must be connected to the signal channel, while the output terminal (OUT) shall be connected to and installed adjacent to the protected equipment. Reverse connection is strictly prohibited.
3、Securely connect the surge protector's grounding wire to the lightning protection system's grounding busbar. The grounding wire should be as short as possible, with a maximum length not exceeding 1 meter.
4、This product requires no special maintenance. Regular inspections should be conducted, particularly before and during the thunderstorm season.
5、If system malfunction occurs and the surge protector is suspected:
First check the corresponding failure indicator
Alternatively, bypass the surge protector and reconnect the system
If the indicator remains unlit or the system returns to normal when operating without the surge protector, this confirms the surge protector is damaged and must be immediately repaired or replaced.
